HIGHS
Spacious and well equipped regardless of brand or trim level. |
|
LOWS
The cabin lacks a quality feel; although it’s called mid-size, this is still a big SUV that has an affinity for the gas pump. |
|
| |
WHAT'S NEW
Introduced for 2002; curtain airbags and XM satellite radio become standard for 2008. |
|
BEHIND THE WHEEL
The loose, imprecise feel doesn’t inspire sporty driving. Passengers won’t like the ride quality. |

CAPSULE REVIEW
GM’s mid-size SUV is spread across lots of brands (Chevrolet, GMC, and Isuzu) but regardless of the name, the truck is basically the same. It comes in only a short-wheelbase edition with rear- or four-wheel drive. Stability control is standard but otherwise, this SUV is showing its age. |
